Man is a slave to the idea of “time”.
Wake up at x. Eat at y. Do such and such at z.
Compartmentalizing his day into a schedule.
Enamoured by the idea of productivity.
To complete x faster or more “efficiently”.
Rushing to complete x so they he can move on to y so he can move back to x.
A perpetual state of action.
Man is a perpetual motion machine.
He fears the idea of not being in the state of some form of a “doing”.
Fundamentally, what is “time”?
Time is a label.
A second. A minute. A day. A year. A lifetime.
A quantifying metric where man can hang his hat.
Man is a slave to the idea of “time” because he views it as if it’s a jug of water.
That if he works hard enough, he will one day fill it.
But time is not a jug of water. It can never be “filled”.
And any attempt to fill it will only be met with confusion followed by turmoil.
Every attempt will be a failure.
And this is why man spends his entire life in “action”.
And why man spends his entire life, miserable.
I ask for your undivided attention for one moment of your precious time.
For this one moment, I ask that you suspend all disbelief as to what I am about to say.
Are you ready?
Imagine there was no concept of “time”.
There were no deadlines. No schedules. No due dates.
What would your life be?
A life of doing whatever you truly wanted.
Not because you should or should not.
But because that is truly what you wanted to do.
A life without right or wrong.
Good or bad.
A life without judgment or expectation.
Pure freedom.
But society doesn’t want you to ask this question.
It shuns the man who merely entertains this idea.
It tells you this is not possible.
It tells you that you have “responsibilities”.
And that you must ensure you are “doing” something every hour of the day.
That time should not be wasted.
But what is a bigger waste of time than not using it to do exactly what you want to do?
